About the Trainer

My name is Samantha. I am a Karen Pryor Academy - Certified Training Partner and Registered Nurse.

I got into service dog training because of my son. He has a severe neuromuscular condition, and as a nurse, it was really hard to watch his independence slip away. I wanted to help him get some of that back, so I decided to train a service dog for him.

Training that first dog changed everything. It not only made a huge difference for my son, but I also discovered how much I loved training. That’s when I realized I could help others gain more independence through service dogs too.

One of the most important things to me was making sure this program was affordable. I know firsthand that money can be tight when dealing with chronic conditions, and the last thing I wanted was for cost to be a barrier for anyone who needs this kind of help. That’s why I created a program that’s designed to be cost-effective and accessible, no matter your budget.
