  • The Puppy Prep Class is a puppy program designed for puppies aged 2–5 months to focus on socialization, exposure, and building positive habits. It helps prepare your puppy for formal training and a successful future as a service dog.

  • This class is ideal for puppies under 6 months who are not yet ready for formal obedience training. It’s perfect for owners who want to build a strong foundation during this critical developmental stage.

  • Your puppy will be introduced to:

    • Socialization with people, environments, sounds, and surfaces.

    • Calm behavior and focus in real-world scenarios.

    • Basic household rules like waiting until being invited onto furniture, sitting at doorways, etc.

    • Exposure to foundational skills that prepare them for formal training later.

  • The Puppy Prep Class is the first step in our continuous training program. You’ll start with $135/month until your puppy is ready for our formal Service Dog in Training Program.

  • This class is still a great fit! Puppies on the older end of the age range benefit from the socialization and exposure provided in this program, preparing them to smoothly transition into the next phase of training.

  • You’ll need:

    • High-value treats your puppy loves.

    • A treat pouch or bag for easy access.

    • A leash and flat collar, harness, or head halter.

    • A mat or blanket for settle exercises.

    • Crates and Husbandry Items (will not be required in every class)

    • Your puppy, ready to learn and have fun!

  • After completing Puppy Prep, your puppy will transition seamlessly into our Foundations Course to continue building skills and progressing toward service dog training.
